1. Purpose and scope
These Community Guidelines explain what is and is not allowed on Gubify. They apply to all users and all user-generated-content areas, including Private Gubs, public Communities, chat, Board posts, Ask posts, answers, Community images, descriptions, names, tasks, events, proposals and other collaborative features.
The Guidelines form part of the Gubify Terms of Service. Users must accept the applicable Terms and Guidelines before creating or uploading user-generated content where Gubify requires acceptance.
The goal is to protect people, allow genuine communities to grow and give Gubify clear grounds to act when content or behaviour creates harm, abuse, deception or legal risk.
2. Age and basic participation rules
Gubify is for users aged 16 or older. Users must provide truthful account information where required and must not misrepresent their identity or eligibility.
Users are expected to act lawfully, respect other people and use Gubify features for their intended collaborative or community purpose.
3. Respect and harassment
Do not threaten, harass, bully, stalk, intimidate or repeatedly target another person. Do not coordinate dogpiling, humiliation or abuse against an individual.
Criticism, disagreement and robust discussion are not automatically violations. Gubify considers context, repetition, severity, power imbalance and whether the conduct is reasonably likely to cause harm.
4. Hate and discrimination
Do not promote hatred, dehumanisation, violence or serious discrimination against people based on protected or inherently personal characteristics such as race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, disability, sex, sexual orientation or gender identity.
Content discussing hateful conduct for educational, documentary or counter-speech purposes may be treated differently from content that endorses or encourages abuse.
5. Violence, threats and dangerous conduct
Do not make credible threats, encourage violence against a person or group, glorify serious violent wrongdoing in a way that creates a safety risk, or use Gubify to plan or facilitate violent criminal activity.
Content involving weapons, dangerous acts or violence may be restricted where it promotes harmful conduct, illegal acquisition or instructions that create a substantial risk of injury or crime.
6. Sexual content and protection of minors
Gubify does not permit child sexual abuse material, sexual exploitation of minors, grooming, sexual solicitation of minors or any attempt to obtain or distribute such material. Suspected child-safety violations may result in immediate restriction and escalation where legally required.
Pornographic or sexually explicit content is not permitted on Gubify. Non-consensual intimate imagery, sexual extortion and sharing intimate content without the depicted person's consent are prohibited.
Content that sexualises or exploits a minor is prohibited regardless of whether it is presented as humour, role-play or fiction where the content or context creates a child-safety violation.
7. Self-harm and vulnerable users
Do not encourage, celebrate, instruct or pressure another person to engage in suicide, self-harm, eating-disorder behaviour or other seriously dangerous conduct.
Supportive discussion, recovery-oriented conversation and requests for help are not prohibited merely because they mention self-harm. Gubify may restrict graphic, instructional or coercive content where necessary for safety.
8. Privacy, doxxing and non-consensual content
Do not publish private personal information about another person without permission or lawful justification. This includes home addresses, passwords, authentication codes, private contact information, financial credentials and other information that could expose someone to harm.
Do not share private communications, intimate material or identifying information in a way that unlawfully violates another person's privacy, confidentiality or safety.
A Private Gub is not a guarantee against screenshots or copying by other authorised members. Respect the confidentiality of information shared with you.
9. Fraud, scams, impersonation and deceptive behaviour
Do not use Gubify for phishing, credential theft, investment scams, payment fraud, fake giveaways, fraudulent fundraising, malicious links or other deceptive schemes.
Do not impersonate another person, business, institution or public authority in a misleading way. Parody or fan communities must not falsely present themselves as official or endorsed.
Do not manipulate users by making materially false claims about your identity, authority, relationship with Gubify or entitlement to money or access.
10. Illegal goods, services and harmful activity
Do not use Gubify to sell, obtain, coordinate or facilitate goods, services or conduct that are illegal under applicable law. This includes criminal services, stolen goods, unlawful controlled substances, exploitation, trafficking and other serious illegal activity.
Gubify may restrict content that creates a serious risk of harm even where the exact legal status depends on jurisdiction.
11. Intellectual property
Only upload or share content that you own, are authorised to use, or are otherwise legally entitled to share. Do not intentionally infringe copyrights, trademarks, publicity rights or other intellectual-property rights.
Community names, images and slugs must not be used to falsely impersonate or create material confusion with a brand, organisation, public figure or rights holder.
12. Spam, manipulation and platform abuse
Do not send repetitive unwanted promotions, create fake engagement, automate abusive activity, manipulate Community membership or ranking, scrape the Service without authorisation, distribute malware, probe security controls or attempt to bypass permissions and rate limits.
Do not create or use accounts, Communities or devices to evade a restriction, suspension or moderation action.
Do not organise coordinated false reporting, mass reporting or repeated reports intended primarily to harass another user or damage a Community.
13. Rules for Private Gubs
Private Gubs are designed for authorised members, but the same safety and legal rules apply as elsewhere on Gubify. Private status is not permission to share illegal, abusive or prohibited content.
Members must respect access controls and must not invite, add or expose content to unauthorised people contrary to the Gub's rules or another person's rights.
Where a report is submitted from a Private Gub, Gubify may process the reported content and related context needed to investigate the report.
14. Rules for public Communities and owners
Community owners are responsible for using membership and administrative controls responsibly. They must not encourage violations, abuse moderation tools, discriminate unlawfully in a manner prohibited by applicable law, or falsely claim to represent Gubify.
Owners should set a clear topic and avoid misleading names or descriptions. They should respond responsibly to problems within their Community and cooperate with Gubify where a Community-level safety issue is being investigated.
Gubify may restrict the Community, its discovery, its ability to accept new members or other available functions even if the owner did not personally create the violating content, where Community-level action is reasonably necessary to address persistent or serious risk.
15. Public Community information and search engines
Public Community names, descriptions, images, language, access information, member-count information and slugs may be displayed on gubify.com and may be indexed or cached by third-party search engines.
Do not place unnecessary sensitive personal data in public Community fields. Do not use public Community metadata for spam, deceptive SEO, keyword stuffing or impersonation.
Gubify does not guarantee search-engine indexing, ranking, traffic or immediate removal from third-party caches after a Community is changed or removed.
16. Reports and abuse of reporting
Use reporting tools in good faith when you reasonably believe content, a user or a Community violates these Guidelines, the Terms or applicable law. Provide enough accurate information for Gubify to understand the concern.
Do not submit deliberately false reports, coordinated reporting campaigns or repeated reports to intimidate, silence or punish another person for legitimate disagreement.
Reporting does not guarantee removal, suspension or a particular outcome. Gubify evaluates available evidence and context.
17. Blocking and personal safety controls
Blocking is intended to help users manage unwanted interactions. Users should use it where appropriate and may unblock another user later using available controls.
Blocking does not necessarily remove historical shared content, remove a person from every shared Gub or Community, or constitute a Gubify-wide ban. Platform moderation and personal blocking are separate mechanisms.
18. Enforcement and sanctions
Depending on severity, context, repetition, legal requirements and available product controls, Gubify may take one or more actions:
- Issue a warning or request corrective action.
- Restrict or remove access to content or a feature where supported.
- Limit Community chat access for an account.
- Hide a Community from discovery.
- Restrict new users from joining a Community.
- Restrict, suspend or close a Community.
- Suspend or terminate an account where technically available and appropriate.
- Preserve relevant records for security, legal or moderation purposes.
- Escalate serious safety or legal matters where required or permitted by law.
20. Review of moderation decisions
Where appropriate or legally required, Gubify will provide information about the basis of a moderation decision and a reasonable way to request review. Until or unless a dedicated in-app appeal tool is available, users may contact support@gubify.com or legal@gubify.com and identify the relevant account, Community, content or decision.
A request for review does not automatically pause a safety restriction. Gubify may maintain temporary restrictions while a review is pending where reasonably necessary to protect users or the Service.
21. No emergency service
Gubify is not an emergency response service, law-enforcement service, medical provider or crisis hotline. If there is an immediate threat to life, physical safety or a child, contact the appropriate local emergency service or competent authority.

Gubify may update these Guidelines as the Service, risks and applicable rules evolve. Material changes may require renewed acceptance where appropriate.
